We would like to invite all those interested for an event promoting the culture of foreigners living in Łódź: this time we encourage you to participate in a meeting under the title "Caucasian cuisine - differences and history".
We meet on 15 February 2022r. (Tuesday) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The topic of our meeting concerns Caucasian cuisine, very diverse and interesting. In this culinary melting pot orbits several countries with very similar dishes but with different names and their different histories. We invite you to discover the flavours of the Caucasus. We will perform one dish in two versions - Plav from Armenia and Plavi from Georgia - a rice dish. The same dish under a slightly different name can be found in all Caucasian countries. Let's see what is different if we make it the Armenian way, and what if we make it the Georgian way. Maybe by taste, maybe by colour, or maybe we will find that they are completely different?
The meeting will be led by:
Lia Movsisyan - a native Armenian,
looking for the flavours of her country's heritage, staying in Poland for
almost a year.
Linda Tvaliashvili - Georgian,
living in Lodz, artistic soul, introducing art to the kitchen with varying
results...
Jacek Jędrzejczak - the owner of the
culinary studio 3 floors. Leader of various culinary projects and the Lodz
Kitchen of Good Taste.
The programme of the event:
1. greeting of participants.
2. getting to know the participants.
3. presentation about Caucasian cuisine by Lia and Linda (English with possibility of translation into Polish).
4. short safety training about working in a shared kitchen and the rules of working in a culinary studio.
5. division of participants into teams.
6. teams under the guidance of instructors make Plav and Plavi.
